Álvaro Figueira publishes book about Moodle

Álvaro Figueira, member of CRACS - InescPorto LA, together with Carmen Figueira e Hugo Santos are the co-authors of a new book (in Portuguese) published  by FCA publishers "Moodle – Criação e Gestão de cursos online". The three authors are alumni from Computer Science Department at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto.

New FCT projects approved for CRACS

In the context of the UT-Austin|Portugal Programme, the Center for Research in Advanced Computing Systems (CRACS) organised the Spring School in Advanced Computing TACC @ UP 2009, together with UT Austin’s Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), which took place in the city of Porto on 28 and 29 May.

Vítor Santos Costa receives "Best Presentation Award" at ICLP'2008

Ever since the first edition of ICLP in Marseille, in 1982, this conference constitutes one of the main international stages for the presentation of research work in the field of logic programming.
Vítor Santos Costa was one of the conference’s invited speakers and his lecture was nominated and presented with the award.

Ricardo Queirós publishes book on Programming Mobile Devices in Windows (in Portuguese)

The book details, in the perspective of a programmer, the .NET platform, its mobile development framework (.NET Compact Framework 3.5), its integrated development environment (Visual Studio 2008), its programming language (Visual Basic 9.0) and a tool set and extensions that allow fast and consistent software development for mobile devices, namely the SDK for Windows Mobile 6.0.
Ricardo Queirós is an associate member of CRACS since 2007 and is a lecturer in "Escola Superior de Estudos Industriais e Gestão" (ESEIG), in Vila do Conde, Portugal.
