Pedro Ribeiro gained his PhD

Pedro Ribeiro completed today, the 28th of June 2011, his PhD in Computer Science. He made an excellent presentation and defense of his thesis entitled Efficient and Scalable Parallel Algorithms for Motifs Discovery in Complex Networks.

The jury included professors Arlindo Oliveira (IST), Marcus Kaiser (Newcastle Univ.), José Cardoso e Cunha (UNL), Vítor Santos Costa (Univ. Porto), and the PhD advisors Fernando Silva and Luís Lopes from the University of Porto, Computer Science Department. Many congratulations to Pedro. Now is the start of another step in his life, surely yet a more demanding one.
