Prof. Manuel Eduardo Correia and his students, Filipa Falcão Reis, Luís Valente, Roberto Colazingari and Suzy Silva, received in Lisbon, on the 14th of October 2008, the first prize for the contest Securitas Systems Challenge - New Tallents, Inovation and Electronic Security (Desafio Securitas Systems – Novos Talentos, Inovação em Segurança Electrónica).
The team won with a proposal on Cryptographic Integrity Mechanisms and Confidentiality in Relational Databases.
This challenge is an initiative of SECURITAS SYSTEMS aiming at promoting and increment scientific cooperation between universities and companies.
